NEV Home Delivered Meal Drivers: We continue with a Pilot Program with the use of Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs) in two communities in Dane County, which includes Verona and Mt Horeb. RSVP and/or the Senior Centers/Outreach Offices have purchased and/or leased the NEVs, designed to deliver home delivered meals to older adults within their own community. The NEVs are stationed at the local Senior Centers/Outreach Offices and are designed to increase the quality of life to older adults, save valuable resources and help save the environment.
What are the benefits of being a NEV Home Delivered Meal Driver?
What do NEV Home Delivered Meal Drivers receive? How do I get started? NEV Home Delivered Meal Drivers are currently needed in the Mt. Horeb and Verona areas. If you are a safe driver, willing to get trained to drive NEV vehicles in Mt. Horeb or Verona, have personal automobile insurance, and can spare a few hours each week to provide this essential service, we would like to talk to you. Please contact your local Senior Center/ Outreach Office or call Gene Kundert, Driver Services Manager, at 608 441-7896.
