NEV (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) Program - 2012: 7 Volunteers 104 Volunteer Hours

NEV Home Delivered Meal Drivers:

We continue with a Pilot Program with the use of Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs) in two communities in Dane County, which includes Verona and Mt Horeb. RSVP and/or the Senior Centers/Outreach Offices have purchased and/or leased the NEVs, designed to deliver home delivered meals to older adults within their own community. The NEVs are stationed at the local Senior Centers/Outreach Offices and are designed to increase the quality of life to older adults, save valuable resources and help save the environment.

NEV Home Delivered Meal Drivers are currently needed in the Mt. Horeb and Verona areas. If you are a safe driver, willing to get trained to drive NEV vehicles in Mt. Horeb or Verona, have personal automobile insurance, and can spare a few hours each week to provide this essential service, we would like to talk to you.

Please contact your local Senior Center/ Outreach Office or call Gene Kundert, Driver Services Manager, at 608 441-7896.
