Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance is looking for volunteer Ambassadors to distribute flyers and communicate general information about education, support and advocacy programs available for individuals impacted by Alzheimer's and Dementia. Prevention and early diagnosis is the key; volunteers make a difference by spreading awareness in their communities.

Natural Heritage Land Trust is celebrating their 30th year of preserving and protecting land in Wisconsin. A lot needs to be done to organize and plan the celebration events and send out materials.
Center for Families is a family service center on the east side. You could be the friendly face that welcomes families, answers phones, and gives directions to services in the building.
Help an adult learn to read, write, or speak English! Tutors are needed now more than ever for Literacy Network. You do not need any experience or foreign language skills - just patience, kindness, reliability and 2-3 hours a week.
Be a tour guide at the Wisconsin Historical Museum on the Square! Preparation and training are provided, and this position requires some experience with education/children. Many guides are retired school teachers!
There is an opportunity for folks who might be interested in historical materials and archives to organize and arrange wonderful old documents at the Wisconsin Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters.

Volunteer in your own environment while supporting student technology users. Participation in RSVP's own Computer Buddies Program provides the opportunity to be a positive presence in the life of a Dane County elementary student through biweekly blog correspondence. Students from school districts throughout Dane County are receiving the benefits of intergenerational interactions and building relationships through this blog based program.
Tutors and Classroom Support
Support students and teachers in schools throughout Dane County by offering classroom help and tutor support. RSVP works in conjunction with Schools of Hope and several school districts in Dane County to provide volunteers opportunities to make a difference in the lives of students at all grade levels. One on one and small group tutoring is typically focused on literacy and/or math.
Henry Vilas Zoo
Volunteers at Henry Vilas Zoo have an opportunity to give back to the community and be among happy people by helping people get the most out of their Zoo visit. The Zoo's greatest volunteer needs are for Face of the Zoo (information booth) volunteers, and Train & Carousel volunteers.
