Brighten Your Day by Working with Kids
Spending time with children is sure to add a smile to your day and keep you young at heart. RSVP of Dane County has many opportunities that involve working with children of all ages. Our program coordinator can help you pick one that best fits your interests and schedule.
Become a Volunteer Tutor
You can give a child the extra help they need to succeed by volunteering at schools in Madison and Dane country as a tutor or mentor. Tutors work one-on-one or with small groups of children in kindergarten through 12th grade, assisting with reading, math and other subjects. Your reward: a smile, a hug, or a high five and the opportunity to see a child learn and grow.
Correspond With A Student Computer Buddy
Remember the thrill of getting a letter from a pen pal? As an RSVP Computer Buddy, you will use an email blog to correspond with a Dane County elementary student who will, no doubt, look forward to getting regular emails from his/her special buddy. It’s a great opportunity to get to know a young student and make a new friend without leaving your home. At the end of the year, you will get to meet your buddy at a party at the school or on Zoom.
